Bowgrip 100 In my opinion, the best bow making glue out there.  Use for wood to wood applications, or fiberglass lamination bows.  No heat box required!  *helpful hint:  When using wood to wood, groove surfaces with a toothing plane.  Always raise the grain and clean all surfaces with acetone.  Mix for 2 solid minutes.  A litte trick is to put in the microwave for 6 seconds before you mix, this will reduce air bubbles and allow for easier mixing.  Apply glue to all surfaces.

Tensile strength of bowgrip is 4,239 psi. Testing done in Hiratsuka Research Laboratory of Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company.

298 kilogram-force per square centimeter (kgf/cm2) is equal to 4,239 pound-force per square inch (psi) (lbf/in2)
Now compare that to Smooth on ea-40, a very popular bow building glue..... Only 3400 psi tensile strength... Bowgrip 100 has 836 psi more, which makes it a stronger glue by far.
Preperation of Surface for adhesive bonding

Materials should be stored and used in a warm enviroment (72F / 23c).  A clean, dry surface is a necessary prequisite for adhesive bonding.  Adhesives will stick to either the surface of which a bond is desired or that film of extraneous material directly on that surface.  Rarely can a structural adhesive penetrate through surface contamiantes to provide an optimum bond on an unclean surface.  Therefore it is very important to clean all surfaces with acetone, denatured alchol, or similar cleaning alchol based solvent. 

Porous materials are simple to bond, provided they are dry.  The surface should be sanded till clean and free from dust.  Non-porous surfaces, such as found on metal and plastic materials, should be degreased, dried and roughed by sanding, sandblasing or chemical etching.  The etched or sandblasted surfaces should be covered within a few hours of treatment to prevent contaminatino.  Handlers should wear clean gloves to prevent body oils from contaminating the clean surfaces. 

For maxium bond strength, surfaces must be clean and free of any contamination.  Non-porus surfaces should be abraded with a toothing plane to increase effective surface area and then be wiped clean with solvent. Epoxy adhesives do not perform well on metals such as nickel, chromium, tin or zing nor on soft thermoplastics like polyethylene.
