Hickory Backing Strips.  Quality Hickory backing strips. Approx. 72" x 2" x 1/8".  Sanded smooth and flat on the glue side.  Easy to use.  *helpful hint, use a 1.5" stave face down on top of the hickory backing strip.  Clamp with spring clamps.  Because the backing is wider than the core the glue will pool along the edge giving you a perfect seam.  Cut excess off with a bandsaw or regular wood saw.

Fiberglass Laminating Sheet - Approx. 72" long by 2" wide. 8 oz.
A quick and easy way to add incredible strength and security to any bow. Self bow, longbow, flatbow, whatever. Can be used for laminating with different woods, or used as a single backing. Fiberglass is incredibly strong, and can be applied using clear epoxy. For best results use bowgrip 100. Once the epoxy is applied, you can see right through it!
To apply: Mix together your glue, and then pour evenly accross the back of the bow. Lay your peice of fiberglass on top of the glue, starting at the tips. The Glue will soak in the fiberglass and the wood, making a permanet bond. Use a popsicle stick to spread the rest of the glue on top of the fiberglass. This process keeps the fibers on your bow down. Great for saving a bow that may have a small split or crack in it. Even better for first time bowyers, just to have that added security, for such a low cost. Apply 2 coats for a smoother finish.
